United Grand Lodge of England
Personal growth.
Lifelong friendships.
Community service.
Fortis Green Lodge is a Masonic lodge in North London, open to men of all backgrounds. We meet at Freemasons' Hall, London WC2B, four times a year.
Freemasonry is an open organisation. Our membership, our meeting venue at Freemasons' Hall, and our charitable giving are all publicly known. A lodge is a group of men who meet regularly, share a formal dinner, and give back to their community.
What members say
“I didn't know what to expect. But from the first evening, everyone was welcoming. I've been coming ever since.”
“I nearly didn't come because I thought I wouldn't fit in. There's no type: professionals, tradespeople, people from every corner of London. Just good men who get on well.”
“I expected ceremony and stiffness. The ritual is there, but what surprised me was how good-humoured everyone is. The Festive Board dinners are genuinely fun.”
What You Get as a Member
Formal dinners in one of London's great buildings
Four meetings a year at Freemasons' Hall, London WC2B, each followed by a sit-down Festive Board dinner. The same faces, year after year. A social anchor in a busy city.
Meetings with structure and purpose
Each meeting follows Taylor's Ritual: focused, purposeful, and unlike anything else in your week. Members find it grounding.
London charity work with real impact
Each year the lodge raises funds for local and national causes. Your membership puts money into the communities you live and work in.
A community that shows up
When a member faces difficulty, the lodge is there. That kind of loyalty and brotherhood is hard to find in a modern city.

A lodge with heritage, open to all
Founded in 1930 and working Taylor's Ritual under the United Grand Lodge of England, Fortis Green Lodge brings together men from across North London. Different professions, beliefs, and backgrounds, united by shared values of integrity, friendship, and service.
