Fortis Green Lodge No. 5145

A North London Masonic Lodge

Fortis Green Lodge has been meeting in North London since 1930. Not much has changed.

Men from all walks of life, different jobs, backgrounds, beliefs, sharing a formal dinner and making commitments to each other about how they want to live.

A brief history

Consecrated on 17th February 1930 under the United Grand Lodge of England, Fortis Green Lodge takes its name from the area of North London where it was founded. The crest shows a fort on a green, the name made visible, and the motto, Fortis et Fidelis, means Strong and Faithful.

We are part of the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London and work Taylor's Ritual, one of the most respected workings in English Craft Masonry, conducted in full from memory.
